okay so i recently purchased this and i just wanna get any good tips advice and some tools i might need should be here by next week that why i can start stealing the tools from my dads house

You are definitely going to need a spring compressor, from what I hear. That makes it so much easier and safer.

yea i was just doing some old post search and tony silver09gts said it was easier with that i found one at auto a rental its called coil spring compressor thats it right?

Yes you'll need a spring compressor, a impact, floor jack, couple sockets can't remember exact sizes, and about a foot long 2x4 to put under the front tire and you set the car back down or you won't be able to get the jack out jus on the fronts on the back put the jack in the middle of the trunk and lift both wheels at the same time. I think that's about it

i didnt nedd a spring compressor to do mine. but i did take all the bolts off while the car was on the ground. good luck on the install tho

Probably because your springs haven't had that much pressure on them so they are not as compressed.

^Wouldn't that make it harder to compress? lol

you wouldn't need to compress it. If you take a new car and change the springs. It's less likely to expand really fast and shoot off. It would just pop off a little. That's only from people that say the springs haven't been stressed out from driving and stuff.

Yea that works too its jus takes longer that way you loosen the big bolt on the shock tower and then jack the car up and take the spring out instead of taking the whole shock assembly out

it don't take that much longer i did everything in less than a hour. but yea. just unbolt the top strut bolt while its on the ground than jack up the car and than put the new spring on than do the back. i drove 55000 miles before i changed out the springs so idk if they were complete compressed from all the driving. but it was easy with two ppl.

^ did you use spring compressors?? so that spring compressor just kinda holds down the springs while your taking your old ones out ? do you use it to reinstall your neew ones?
