I was going to do it then my friend told me to take them off so I don't get that stuff all up in my brakes...i'm not sure if that helps
but I think it would come off really easily too?

I think there was a guy at one meet that did it I forgot his name but I think he said it started peeling off after a few months

It wouldn't hurt to try it though since you can just peel it off

rrd used engine enamel, so he actually sanded down his wheels and stuff.

80 per wheel sounds like a good deal though.

I forgot the guys name on here but he bought a bunch of powdercoating equipment and he might be able to hook you up pretty cheap

yea it was Troy(dragontr08) that plasti dipped his rims. AZN_daddy is the 1 who was tryin to start up his own powder coating business. dont kno wats goin on though, havent seen him at a meet in awhile. im guessin its cause he's busy setting up the business, idk. but yea, $80 a rim sounds lik a good deal 2 me. i think the usual $ i heard for powder coatin was lik 100+ per rim. u hav the es rims rite? can u post up pics afterward? i hav an es 2 & was thinkin bout plasti dippin them but wasn't sure how the es rims would look plasti dipped

yes i did plasti dip my rims....make sure u take the wheels off ur car or else it will get on ur brakes. wash it well the put about 4 coats, 30 mins drying time each coats. mine lasted for a while its just sometimes a trip to car wash (bluewave) peels off a little, just have an extra can for touch ups :) actually put 5 coats on the front ones cuz they peel off a lot more than the rear wheels. goodluck!

yup i bought a kit from this website http://www.rimpainter.com
took the wheels off, masked off the tire
sanded the clear coat down so it was nice and rough
did a couple layers of etching primer, then a couple layers of the filler primer
sanded any rough spots again
then did about 4-5 coats of the low gloss black engine enamel, each wheel took about a whole can
then did about 2-3 coats of matte clear

it took forever and it sucked but the result was amazing and almost 5 months later they look exactly the same, no chips, scratches, nothing
