this exact thing happened to me at one of those 'car spa' places
i used to have a mazda protege, i was going in for an oil change and i saw they had a special for this flush thing so i was like fuck it it'll probably help so i went for it
as soon as i pulled out of the parking lot my car died, i was like ok maybe the fluids just need to work through the lines or something so i kept going, next red light as soon i stopped my car died again, and it would do it every time i stopped
so i called the place and took it back and their 'mechanic' looked at the car and said he couldn't find anything wrong and that nothing they did would've caused that problem, even though before i took it in it NEVER did anything remotely like that haha
ended up going to a repair place and had to pay a shit ton of money to get it fixed, the spark plugs and wires needed to be replaced and a vacuum tube or something
i called their corporate office to complain and they didn't believe me

^dang that sucks. If i ever work at a jiffy lube i wouldn't lie like that. Even though it'd probably get me fired. I'd rather have a good reputation for telling the truth than having a case against you for lying and destroying cars.

It's hard to believe that people would carelessly do something like that

I can't trust those guys. If you want them to do anything other than an oil change, step outside and WATCH them perform. One time they wanted a radiator flush done to my maxima they didn't use the coolant flush machine like they usually do and tried to BS me that they did it. Little did they know I was litteraly right behind them the whole time and stood next to the flush machine so instead they refund my money and got the coolant flush done for free as hush hush. Of course I posted this on almost every local forums about this incident and found out other Jiffy lubes are experiencing the same problems. I'd blame the regional managers for letting their employees do whatever they want for cash.
