won't start..

This has happened like 10 times in a 2- year period.
Sometimes my won't just start!! I read online and many people are having the same problem and Mitsu doesn't give an answer...

"I purchased a brand new 2008 mitsubishi lancer in april 2007. after only owning the car for 2 weeks it wouldn't start. i brought it to the dealership and where it was tested and examined. all test came back perfect. from then on the car would intermittently not start. i took the car back to the dealership every time this occurred. it was in the shop 6 times and for a total of about 3 1/2 weeks. the problem could never be detected and there for never fixed. i filed a claim with mitsubishi and the car was finally deemed a lemon. i received another brand new 2008 mitsubishi lancer in october 2007. now after having this car for about 2 weeks, the problem is re-occurring!! it just won't start. there has to be more 2008 mitsubishi lancer owners out there that have experienced this same problem. what are the odds that i have purchased the only two brand new cars that are lemons!!!!

hey, i have a similar problem, the car shuts off 3-5 seconds after starting, sometimes before i even get a chance to put the car in drive. I took the car in for a full work over and bumper to bumper inspection which cost me $250 and they said there's nothing wrong with it. But it still happens. What number/address did you call/write to, to file the complaint? cuz there more than just that one problem with my car. I think mine may be a lemon as well. From reading all these comments. i'm starting to think the model in itself is just a bad car. wish i knew before i spent thousands to buy it view

happened to me quite a few times, until i switched to fully syntethic oil, and used higher octane gas.

haha, though this hapen to me, but it was my fog lights left them on and my car was dead in the grave...

really your lights don't turn off when you open the door/.. when i shut my car off my lights stay on and i open the door and they turn off even if i leave the switch on they turn off

all lancers are lemons they all suck it may not be because of the same problem but they ALL have problems... i HATE mitsu and their service they always find a reason to get out of the work!! thus being said i personally will never buy another mitsu product ever nor will i ever refer anyone to buy their product... i would feel bad knowing that i caused another person the same headache ive had for 3 years

off topic but i think i mite hav a little hole in my back driver side tire & only that tire cause it keeps goin down to 25 psi or watever its called every week for the last 2 weeks so should i bring my tire to a shop to get 1 of my tire looked at or do yall think the hole is too little to even find?

I had that happen to me in my front left tire, I went to discount tire and they patched it up for free took like 20 minutes.

hmm... alot of people keep saying "not starting" but what exactly do they mean? do you turn the key in the ignition and absolutly nothing happens? do you turn the key and there's a clicking noise then nothing? or when you turn the key does the engine try to start but doesn't stay running?
