JDM vs. USDM

Postby lilgoob5043 » Sun Mar 07, 2010 8:02 pm

Which do you guys prefer and why?
I prefer USDM because I don't like being like everybody and get some "rare" stuff that cost too much. Also it's not cool to have when somebody sees it and wants to steal it

Are we talking about Hondas? Because if you're talking about your gen Lancer (02-03) I'd prefer the JDM version because:

- the rear bumper is shorter than the USDM ( shorter rear crash bar)
Image

- different front grille (mesh with mitsu logo), 1inch shorter bumper due to smaller crash bar

JDM 2004-06

And besides, who in the outside of the Mitsubishi Lancer world would recognize a JDM conversion from yours and steal it? My Galant is JDM converted but no one but those who knows about my car would identify it as JDM. I'm pretty sure if your car was a Honda and JDM-fied it would attract all sort of thieves as they would jump on it like white on rice. :violin:

Actually your car is pretty easy to see it has jdm stuff on it. Maybe because I know the difference lol either way I don't like having parts that attract others to steal things. I've had hand prints left on my windows before because I guess they were expecting something interior wise but since it's all stock they were in for a surprise of nothing to steal. lol That grill is also pretty dang ugly, it's better than the usdm one but it's still got that chrome trim which kills. Also the shorter bumpers makes it look all stubby o.O i'll stick to my stock body and my cdm grill lol

lol a lot of people would rather have domestic muscle cars. Otherwise the other domestic cars were probably designed by foreign companies. LOL
